...

Got to admit always been used to using cheap blades and shaving foam until now, after a few goes with the electric shaver and trimmer I will not go back to manual again, such a clean shave and so smooth, so easy to work with and control

Yes, I recommend this product !

Excelent Product

First thing i wanted to know before i accepted the campaing is how would this go differently to my usual shave, i'm very wary when shaving normally I just use a razor if I ever shave.. As soon as I got my free Braun Body Groomer I decided it was time for a change, tried the different sizes and finally dicided to go for just stubble so off it came, it was very easy to use, the only problem is it needs a storage box rather then a bag to keep it in :/, all in all i recomend this to anyone looking for a new groomer, my family all think it's a big change as i normally have a big beard, they (the men) were all wondering where they could get one and how much does one cost. BrAun Body groomer Hair free

I would just like to point out that I revived my body groomer for free from Braun. Thanks!!The BrAun Body groomer will help you achieve the perfect cut. Weather that being your beard, your body or, you know, down there…The packaging of this product is very masculine. The outer box is Black with very few colours apart from white. Inside the box is pure blue. These colours are very bold colours and work well together. So full marks on the packaging. When you open the box, inside at the right hand side is a blue card bored container. In there contains, A large comb, medium comb, Sensitive come, a charging stand, a shower hanger a cleaning brush, 1 extra razor, and a soft pouch. On the left hand side is your shaver. The shaver wasn't anything I have really seen before. You had the electric razor but attached to that was a non-electrical razor. I think this is to ensure that you don’t miss any hair out when you are shaving (where ever that may be)I am assuming that this product has come from Germany because of the little German flag at the top of the box that says “German engineering.” Sadly I realized that this was also not from England because of the charger. I cannot plug this in to charge as we have Uk plug sockets and not European two pin plugs. There for I would need to buy a special plug to be able to continue using this product when the batteries have died.Overall I will give this product 4 stars. I dropped a star because of the charger. I would strongly recommend you buy this if you’re considering it. Everything works really well. You would just need to spend a few more pounds to get a compatible plug to charge the shaver. Braun Body Groomer

Received the Braun Body Groomer for free from BzzAgent. Outer packing looks good with some clear pictures on the back on what you can use the groomer for. It comes when the a travel bag which is handy as it comes with a few attachments which helps keep it all together. It comes with a blade already in place (with a spare in the pack) in it already had some charge although I plugged it in to get a full battery. It comes with a 2 pin plug which is fine for my bathroom but a 3 pin adapter would have been nice. The groomer feels nice in the hand and quite ergonomic. Quality wise it feels middle of the road, not cheap but not premium. It looks nice however and is well styled and I don't mind having it out on charge in the bathroom. I also like how it comes with a stand to charge and that it doesn't plug direct into the razor. My first experience of using the groomer was with a wet shave. I turned on the power function so it vibrated. On the face the power is decent but it felt like there was too much back and forth movement in the razor which felt uncomfortable as you pull the groomer across your skin. The blade has a nice amount of spring which cushions the blade but power function makes it feel like it's pulling against your face rather than a smooth cut. After a few mins it became too uncomfortable to use so I continued with the power off. This was more comfortable and gave a reasonable shave but compared to my regular safety razor was not as close.I tried the secondary razor which failed to impress. I've tried other electric razors with similar blades which have been very sharp and accurate while this product seemed to be too inefficient. Against longer hair the blade performed a bit better but with short hair it doesn't offer a brilliant shave and I would be worry about getting sore skin from repeatedly trying to get a clean shave.Overall it is a nice package with a good feature set but execution is not as impressive as I would have hoped. Good for certain areas but no a full replacement for a good safety razor. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Promising product BUT...

I received this item free from Braun for review purposes. My initial feelings on opening the box and looking at the device is that it looked smart and professional. It had a solid yet light feel to it.I initially used this on my neck area just underneath my beard to give a close shave and create defined lines between my beard and the rest of mt neck. Quite honestly I found it to be a little harsh on first use straight out of the box. The trimming teeth on the device had a little bit of a pulling effect on my hairs and I felt the teeth cried out for a little bit of lubricant. This was not provided in the box but has been provided in other body grooming kits that I have purchased. On more 'sensitive areas' and upon second use, once lubricated, the device did perform a lot better and outperformed my previous device as the teeth just seemed to be more efficient and had a more even cutting effect overall. One thing that bothered me slightly was that the Gillette attachment seemed to get in the way of other the main trimmer when in operation ever so slightly when I was shaving areas where I didn't require the Gillette attachment. This only happened at certain angles and was soon resolved.I think with careful reading of the instructions (as this device is a little unusual and different from other devices) and with proper care and lubrication this is a very promising product that will be immensely useful to those that want a smart and convenient all-in-one body groomer/razor. Braun Body Groomer

I received my Braun body groomer for free yesterday and tried it out this morning ,There is quite a lot packed in to a small groomer, Very efficient at charging with a good compact stand and LED indicator, Really easie to use,I trimmed my body and shaved/trimed eye brows in half the time it usually takes and with only one pece of kit insted of 3 I normally use,There is one problem with the kit,The plastic guides are easily broken and with no hard carry case to protect them there going to brake because I travel a lot and it's happened to others like this ive had in the past, but I'm going to continue to use the trimmer because its less to carry and pack when traveling,The other bad thing is Gillette razers are very expensive to replace,Overall i think its a really good bit of kit plus i can shave and trim in the shower it being water proof which is a very good time saver and less hassle... Pretty much what you'd expect if you duct-taped a razor blade to a trimmer

Just as Steve Jobs took to the stage to announce they'd combined the features of an iPod, a phone, and a web browser – all in one magical device – Braun aims to take the features of a world class shaver with an electric trimmer, making an all purpose body grooming device. The result is a curious hybrid, but I'm not sure it delivers on the promise.(I received a Body Grooomer for free from Braun in exchange for an honest review)It does look a bit weird, truth be told. The razor either retracts fully to just use the trimmer, or extends fully be used alone without the trimmer; or can be used in a hybrid mode where both the trimmer and razor are active. For the most part, this works well, combining the act of shaving somewhere with heavy growth into a few strokes, as opposed to the usual routine of first trimming, then shaving. You'll still need to use shaving foam though, and rinse the head off, so this is best done in the shower. I almost expect them to build a shaving foam dispenser attachment into the next model. And a self cleaning jet of water mechanism. It takes a little while to get used to the Braun Body Groomer as there's a specific angle you need to hold it at - 90° to your body, rather than almost parallel as you might with just a trimmer. We first tried the Body Groomer as just a traditional trimmer to shave my head - without the shaving head extended - and after figuring out that you couldn't hold it like a standard trimmer, it seemed to work fine. Nothing groundbreaking but it got the job done. You still need to go over the same area a few times to catch everything, so it's no better than a regular trimmer for doing heads.Next I tried shaving my arms and chest in the dual function mode – that's with both the trimmer and the shaving head extended – and this was more successful, but I'm not sure how much value is added by the combined feature set. I think I could get just as good of a shave with just a sharp razor.I don't have a beard, so it could be that the product's true strength lies with beard trimming. Also in the package are a variety of trimmer attachments to for selecting closeness of shave, and a dual purpose case which can either cover the electric head completely for use in the shower, or goes on the other side to just hang the device up somewhere. The utility of the Body Groomer is hampered like most of these multi-blade shaving products by the need to buy expensive new blades every so often. I gave up using multi-blade razors and switched to a single bladed safety razor many years ago, and haven't looked back since. The Body Groomer hasn't convinced me to switch back.So would the Braun Body Groomer completely replace your traditional shaving and grooming routine? It might, but not for me. The utility or time saved from having the two features combined just doesn't add as much value as I'd hoped it might. It's pretty much what you'd expect if you duct-taped a razor blade to a trimmer. good idea, not sure it works

I think the main electric grooming head works really well but the normal razor gets in the way ALOT, had to take the top off to use it. And trying to use the normal razor with the massive handle makes it really hard to use. I got my body groomer free from Braun and will continue to use the electric razor but couldn't use the normal razor regularly [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Braun Body Groomer, a top product!

Upon receiving my Braun body groomer for free from Braun, I was straight away impressed with the overall package and quality of the attachments included. The trimmer heads are made well, the inclusion of a case/holder for the shower was welcomed. The groomer itself feels really expensive, it has a good weight to it and doesn't feel like it would damage easily. The charger/dock included does take a while to charge but I think most trimmers/groomers I have used before seem to take about the same. The battery life is very good, I have used it several times and still not had to recharge, so I would say the initial long charge it worth the overall battery life. The groomer itself in use is very good, it offers a smooth trim on whichever setting you choose. I didn't have issues with catching/snagging as some trimmers have. My only complaint was the razor on the back, whilst I feel this is a great idea and like having the product built all in one. I did find at times it could move or catch when I was using the grooming part, so i often found myself removing the razor head when grooming and adding it for shaving only.Overall this is a great product, ideal for every day use and perfect for travelling as means you only have to take one product, not a trimmer, razor etc. I would thoroughly recommend this product, it is well weighted, easy to use and feels really expensive in the hand. Slight issue with the razor head at times but i think if you remove that during grooming its worth having it all built in. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Pretty darn good with some unexpected bonuses

I'll begin with the disclosure that I was sent the Body Groomer for free in exchange for an honest review of the product. So, with the boring bit done, what's it like?Well, it is a slightly odd looking creature with the razor blade piggy-backing on the main unit however it is well constructed and doesn't feel like it's going to break apart any time soon. The entire device is totally sealed to allow it to be used in both the shower and the bath though I can't really recommend using it in the bath unless you enjoy bathing with your own hair trimmings. It also comes with a little charging stand that doesn't take up much space. Quick note: unless you have a 2 pin bathroom plug, you'll need to grab an adapter since there's no 3 pin plug included.Build quality, which I briefly touched on, is excellent. The Body Groomer itself and the charge stand feel good an sturdy and whilst I haven't had t long enough to confirm, I suspect this will still be working in several years time.On the usage front it is very easy to use. You clip on one of the 3 attachments onto the trimmer to set the length and away you go. This is handy for keep hair to a certain length, whether it's a bit of gardening or just to keep facial hair at a tidy length, the 3 lengths offered have most bases covered.Where the razor comes in. I'm not an overly hairy chap so couldn't give the razor a test in it's natural working conditions so I thought I'd give it a go on my leg. So, for all the super keen cyclists who want to remove all leg hair, I can confirm that the body groomer will do an excellent job (I've attached a picture of my leg minus a small strip of hair). To summarise. The Body Groomer is a great product, it's downfalls come in from two problems. The first is the missing 3 pin plug or at least, adapter. The second is that while it is water proof, it can get clogged up quite easily when wet, so I would recommend using this product dry, which comes with it's own issues. Otherwise, it is a study product that works well wit only a few drawback. I've have given it 4 out of 5 stars but in reality that is only because I couldn't have given it 4.5 out of 5 which is really where it sits. And as a final unexpected bonus. The trimmer is incredible at removing knots from long haired cats. The buzzing sound is nice a quite, also low in pitch and doesn't scare them, plus it's gentle enough that they don't mind. You just need to be sure the razor blade has been removed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
