When it comes to buying an electronic item, I do a lot of research to get the satisfaction of buying the best affordable equipment out there. However, These were one of my lucky days as I received this FREE Multigroomer kit from Braun.I had never used an electric shaver before so was very excited on seeing this. The Shaver unit seemed bulky at first look but it fit snugly in hand. The Attachments that came with it were minimal which made me think whether it was possible to do the styling which was displayed on the packaging box. But I took a leap of faith and went through the manual to understand the working. The User Manual is simple and straightforward and believe me it's always better to go through it before using the product if you want to use it to it's full potential. The Initial Charge took around 3 hrs. The trimmer attachment is adjustable however it doesn't have markings in mm which was a bit inconvenient. I kept it on minimum and started as ultimately wanted to try the shaver so trimmed the beard to minimum. The precision trimmer is a good feature which helps in shaping side burns and beard. The TRIMMER did a good job!But as soon as I started shaving, I was very disappointed. It felt as if my hair were getting pulled out rather than getting cut. The Foil on the shaver tries to adjust with your face surface but it is not enough to cover all hair and leaves tiny bits here and there which is very annoying but with repeated strokes you can cover every inch.I tried to give the shaver a second chance after few days but again the hair pulling part was disappointing and it left my skin sore.Verdict :1) Good Trimmer2) Good standby battery life (Approx 30 mins.) in one full charge3) Very Poor Shaver.4) Saving Grace is that it can be used with water as well. What a great piece of kit. When Braun sent me this free to trial, i wasnt overly excited as I already have a "multigroomer" but after the first try, my old one went into a cupboard never to see the light of day again. The wet and dry option is a God send for people who are in a rush in the mornings. As is the quick charge for people like me that always think "I'll get one more shave out of the charge" for it to run out mid shave. The foil head gets nice and close, but the best feature is that all the additional heads are build into the actual shaver, not lets of additional attachments which generally get lost.My Multigroomer was sent with a 2 pin adaptor which is a bit of a pain. Ive had an electric toothbrush I havent ever used as I forget to pick an adapter up so this could be the same. Supply a 3 pin adapter and this would be 5* [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
When I received my Multigroomer shaver free from Braun I was excited as I have used the same 3 rotary electric shaver for years. The first thing I noticed was the variety of attachements that come with it. If someone is thinking of getting this shaver it would be a good idea to have a clue about what you need it for.I rarely have a large beard and try to keep it either well groomed or clean shaven. It strikes me that this shaver is perfect for detailed grooming with a decent length beard. The 3 day beard trimmer and styling attachments allow for regular maintence of a stylish look. However unfortunately due to work I have to keep clean shaven for most of the time. This presented a problem as the only use I was getting out of the Braun Multigroomer was the standard shaving mode. Regular use of this over a week has unfortunately disappointed me. I found it struggled to pick up all of my hairs and left several which I could only remove my using the precision attachments. This left me using twice to nearly three times the time to get a good clean shave. However when I did complete my shave it was closer than with my old shaver and my skin get smoother. I have yet to use this in a shower so it may present a better shave in that environment. Finally I found that without a hair catching recepticle, hair dust gets left all over the sink. This shaver is excellent for a stylised beard and is perfect for someone who wants to keep it well groomed. That said if you are looking for a bog standard shaver for a clean shave every day, it might be best seeking a more simple model from Braun. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
So I had my lovely free Multigroomer from Braun, and was very excited to start playing with it! I have been a beard wearer for over 4 years, and have tried numerous different electric and non-electric shavers to tame the beast.I have been using another electric non-foil trimmer, and was really looking forward to trying something a bit different and hopefully better product. To get a good idea of how it was going to work for me I had allowed my beard to grow out a bit, (Usually keep to about 5-8mm in length), to get to see a full range of its capabilities. The Multigroomer came charged, and also came with a couple of different attachments. It also came with just a standard Razor plug and no-adaptor, so was a little disappointed in that.It was a little confusing to begin with, working out what each attachment/accessory did, and how to best get my desired results... being a man the instructions weren't to be looked at so I headed straight into using the groomer - starting with the larger of the attachments. This attachment gave a couple of different uses, in that it adapted to different lengths and you could use either the trimmer or the foil razor to get the desired result. I tried with both!I have to admit I found the foil razor part more comfortable, as the Trimmer seemed to catch and snag the hairs more, however did find the foil didn't manage to cut nearly as many hairs in one movement. The multigroomer also has a built in narrow point trimmer which worked really well for catching the hairs around the lips that alsways seem to be just a bit long and annoy!I like how easily the adaptors came on and off, and the foil section was really easy to clean - helped by the little brush supplied. It is a nice looking piece of equipment, but was hoping for a smoother trim, and also found the battery life wasn't great - however the quick-charge bit did help when the battery died halfway through another trim! All in not a bad product! I think the new Braun Multi groomer is a hit when it comes to male grooming.Having used hand held trimmers in the past, I was always left underwhelmed by their performance.By combining 3 mechanisms in one device, Braun reduce the faffing around I had previously experienced and instilled inspiration when using.Definitely one to keep using time and time again. Thanks Braun for making grooming easy and efficient. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I received my free Braun multigroomer this morning and was moderately impressed. I had not shaved for a few weeks and was desperate for a trim. After reading the instructions I tried using the the trimmer on the highest setting to which no hair was removed, so lowered it down and still little hair was removed, after putting it on the lowest setting hair started to be shaved off, however it left me very patchy and a huge streak where it was minimal hair. As a result I had to wet shave my beard off much to my disappointment. I think I will be sticking to using my hair clippers to trim my beard down.Overall I'd give the razor:Design: 10/10Ease of use: 7/10Personal score: 5/10 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I think that the razor has potential bit for me the razor just didn't cut it. I had most of my hair on my face when I finishing shaving no matter what angle I tried just couldn't get the hairs cut. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The Braun Multogroomer comes in attractive packaging containing the shaver unit, an adujstable comb, separate '3-day beard' comb, a precision attachment, cleaning brush and a charging stand. As I normally use a dedicated trimmer to keep my beard length consistent I was really interested to see how a multi tool would work and whether it would be easier to use. It feels like a good quality piece of equipment, not too heavy and the attachments are easy to take on and off. I found the comb trimmer to be fantastic in giving a consistent hair length, something that even standalone trimmer products sometimes struggle with. I was able to achieve my desired look with minimal fuss. The head is fairly wide so you can cover a large area in no time and it's super easy to clean with it being washable (though does come with a brush as well) and this was a big plus point. I've found it holds charge very well and the 5-minute quick charge option means you never get caught short. The stand also looks smart and is functional when the item is not in use.The foil shaver head didn't give as close a shave as I expected, though that may be as my hair is fairly coarse and I'm used to a manual razor for clean shave areas. That said, it was quick and easy to operate the shaver and I liked the fact I could use it in the shower as well. The precision element via using the twistable trimmer and attachment is a good thought and does help achieve the beard 'lines' for the professional finish but as the instructions warn, constant use of this does drain the battery faster.Overall having used a fair few trimmers and shavers in the past I'd say this is a decent product for the price and it particularly excels at trimming. it would be made better by having an attachment to get more precision over the length, other than the pre-defined options.I received my item free from Braun and this is an impartial review. I've received this groomer for free from Braun. Before I got this groomer, I was using a Remington trimmer and shaver - which honestly wasn't that great, but it managed to do the job. I was excited to try this out to hopefully get one device to shave that annoying neck beard and trim everywhere else. And it does just that. Sort of.First of all, the actual shaver is very, and I mean very, basic. Feels very fidgety and soft, which is not what I was expecting. It does an okay job at shaving, but it takes considerably longer to get a clean shave than with a dedicated electric shaver, but that's to be expected.I actually really like the trimming attachments - they feel sturdy and safe, I can just put one on and trim around my whole face without worrying that it will nip at my skin, like my old Remington would. The rotating razor design is actually really nifty and works better than the other type on Multigroomer which flips out from underneath the main razor - I've had those ones break on me many a time.Perhaps the biggest downfall of this is battery. I've used this about 3-4 times since receiving it, and I must have charged it at least 5 or 6 times. If just trimming, which doesn't take me longer than a minute or two, it lasts long enough. But when using the actual shaver for a full on shave, it died on towards the end and I had to recharge it before continuing. It says it has some fast charge boost thing to make a quick charge last long enough for a shave, but I found that to be false. At least the charger stand that comes with it is quite nice. All in all, it's a good multigroomer. If like me you tend to trim rather than shave and occasionally go for a clean cut look, this device will do just that. If you're one who prefers just straight up shaving, there's no reason to buy this over a much better dedicated electric shaver. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I received a free multigroomer from Braun and my 1st impression was it looked OK and fit in the hand good so I decided to try it out. normally i would trim my beard using a Beard trimmer for the areas i am grooming and a normal razor for the areas where i need a clean shave. This was a let down the clean shave kept pulling and left me feeling patchy. The trimming side was OK but not a game changer will stay with my old shaver for now [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
