.Really poor. Don't buy this shaver.

Sorry to say, but this shaver doesn't do what it should. Although it is reasonable, but not good, on cheeks and chin, it fails abysmally on the soft throat skin. I invariably have to use a safety razor to dry shave this area. Wish I could take the shaver back and get my money back. Very disappointed with a Braun product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Brilliant Design - though needs a little care!

I am delighted with my M-90. It is a brilliantly designed shaver, perfect for travelling, and day-to-day use, with every feature I need. I did though find it hard to close the battery cover, but now realize that an air-lock forms as it's pushed on, especially when the batteries are in place, and just requires it to be done slowly and carefully. I'd welcome a little note added on instructions. I also found it frustrating to locate the right telephone number for shaver customer service, and was shunted around 3 different numbers! Apart from that, I'd be very happy to recommend this shaver to a friend!

Yes, I recommend this product !

Not great for thick beards

Thank you Braun for allowing me to test the M-90 compact shaver. So I was given the chance to review this shaver, although after my first use I was not very impressed. I let my beard grow for 5 days to enable a better review, though I couldn't handle the longer hair. I attempted to trim it down using the side beard trimmer, but it was taking too long. I trimmed it down to around 0.7mm and re-attempted the shave. For most part it worked well with shorter hair, then another difficulty arose, the shaver could not tackle the thickness of my hair and left some patchiness. I would recommend it to men whom don't have as thick hair. Sorry but that's my opinion. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not what I expected

When I received this Mobile Shave unit for free to review, I expected that this will save me the hassle of the midweek shave when I just can't be bothered with getting the whole shaving kit out. I thought I'd be able to just shave the little bit of stubble that I get. But, this shaver just trims your stubble and that too is not even! So, it ends up looking really patchy and uneven. I needed to follow up with my shaving kit anyway, so no advantages at all to using the MobileShave. I'm giving it 2 stars only for the fact that it looks good, has a powerful motor but there need to be big improvements in the shaving blade alignment for it to be used as a viable shaver. Tough & Rough: "It Burns"

As a firm user of the old Mach 3 turbo fusion thruster 4000 etc etc I wanted to move away from the expense of repeat blade buying. This razor was the (free) answer I thought. Wrong! Maybe it's my neck shape but it does not get all the hair leaving patches and chronic razor burn despite even having a wet shave with it. Didn't like it that much I've even grown a beard whilst it collects dust. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A shaver which doesn't work!

The only good thing about this shaver is its aesthetics. I used the main shaver for around 10-15 mins and honestly you would think I hadn't used it at all! I thought perhaps I wasn't using enough pressure, however after almost tattooing the shaver into my face leaving imprints it still did nothing! A shaver from the pound shop would have done a better job I'm certain! The trimmer on the side did work, however it's in such an awkward spot that you can't see what your doing properly, therefore it's hard to keep the angle straight and leaves your sideburns a mess. Massive room for improvement, main one being fitting a shaving system that actually works! Such a shame with braun being a reputable name! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

First Impressions Count!

When I first unboxed the Braun Mobile Shaver I was impressed. Sleek and streamlined, it was very easy to take with me. I liked the auto lock system and the small brush locked into the bottom to clean it. You can see its size in proportion to a standard pen in my photo.I've had an electric Shaver before - a Phillips Williams F1 one. I wasn't a huge fan. Trying this one I've been surprisingly impressed. No nips, very easy to use. It's given me a decent shave when I've had a few days worth of stubble. A quick one has left a few straggles especially around the neck area, but a more thorough and complete go has left me pretty much clean shaven. It took more time than using a blade, but then again it's easier to transport than a blade!I think I would recommend it to family and friends who would travel a lot as opposed to everyday use. It's main strengths are it's portability and ease of use, and main weakness is that I don't feel it's as good a shave as a good quality blade. That said this is my first day with it, I will post a follow up review in a week when I've had prolonged use to see if anythings changed! I didn't think I needed this till I had it!

First off let me say that I received this for free from Braun, now I will also say that will not taint my review so please read on!!I am a shift worker with one of the emergency services, this often leaves me with little time to get ready. I have an old, very well used shaver but sadly the battery in this does not last very long and if i'm honest this is a pain! It just so happened that this shaver came at the right time!Lets start at the box....Its nothing fancy which I prefer. Why you ask? well I would prefer that the money is spent on the product and not flash packaging thats going to end up in the bin! On opening the box everything was safely packed and easy to get to. To my surprise it came with 2 x Duracell batteries! The battery compartment is clearly very secure and I feel it will last many years of changing the batteries as required. The shaver is a very strong unit and very well built. It comes with the bar shaver as you would expect, which is encased in a very clever protection clip. The clip can be undone with one hand which is perfect for getting going quick. So how good is it? Well I've got to say I was shocked the first time I used it. Until now I have never used an electric bar shaver but this was 90% smoother and much less painful that any round head shaver I have ever used. So far the bar has not caused me any pain and felt very smooth and natural on my skin. I am not ashamed to say I have sensitive skin and not once has this caused me any pain or rash! The cut is good, as expected no where near as good as the old wet and blade shaving however no pain and no chances of cutting myself means a win for me! This shaver is better than any electric shaver I have used before.Even on such a small unit Braun have also built in a small precision shaver which pops out from the main shaver. This is a great feature but I will say not all that refined. Sadly the precision shaver is just that little bit too small and did tug on a few hairs, but nothing that hurt too much. Also popped into the underneath of the shaver is a little cleaning brush which is perfect for those using this on the go. The shaver comes apart very easy for cleaning. The fact I can swap the batteries out means I feel this shaver will last much longer than anything with built in battery! All in all i'm very impressed and have already recommended this to others, Its small enough to pop in my kit bag which goes everywhere with me, so I will never get caught out again! Other than the precision shaver addition foibles I have nothing negative to say! If you were wondering about buying, don't just get it and enjoy quick and easy shaving! And lets be honest no bloke enjoys shaving but you will hate it less after this! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

No quite so Brawny

I received this product for free from Braun in return for an honest and impartial review. I have had the product for a month now in order to test it thoroughly. First I'll start with the good points: - Compact design which incorporates all the features of an electric shaver. - Easy clean ability - Grooming trimmer for those hard to reach or more precision areas - Good battery life (been using it every couple of days with the original batteries still going strong) The negatives: - It doesn't actually shave your face smoothly, instead it gives more of a trim and leaves a stubbly look - Blade doesn't conform to your facial contours and so for me it gives an irregular shave unless I either push very hard or very lightly - The overall design, while sturdy at this stage, does have an overall cheap feel to it and I can foresee this shaver not lasting long term. I can also foresee it not surviving being dropped. Overall the shaver is good for if you like the short stubbly look however it doesn't really meet the requirements if you have hard facial hair like me. Small and handy but not a good shave

Bzzagent sent me this shaver for free to try it out and review it. This is a very handy little shaver that operates using batteries so can be taken anywhere. However, I spent half an hour trying to shave with this and it wasn't shaving very well, I kept going over and over the same areas but it just would not shave well so, out of frustration I ended up getting my wet shaver out to finish it off. I will not use this shaver again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
